The Document Tracking System (DTS) developed by Janaki Technology will provide information about the documents taken under control by the traffic police against the drivers violating various traffic rules. MTPD believes this new system will make the services provided by the Traffic Division even more effective, convenient and simple by making the documentation process hassle-free.
To benefit from this, service recipients can go to the message box of their mobile phone and type
Echalan (space) Fiscal Year Chit Number
in English and send a message to 34001 to get the information immediately.
The document tracking system sends an instant push message to the service recipient via mobile SMS, notifying them about the details of the office with the confiscated documents.
Although 45 traffic police offices inside the Kathmandu Valley store the documents of traffic violators, only 17 traffic police offices can collect the documents as per the rules. Hence, the department believes that this service will be effective to ease the inconvenience caused to the drivers coming from far.Speaking on the occasion, Sanam Deep Shakya, Assistant Manager, Janaki Technology, said that the traffic police has been gradually increasing the facilities provided to the service recipients by expanding the technology and believed that this SMS service would provide more convenience to the service recipients. Also, WorldLink Communication has installed free Wi-Fi services within the premises of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division under its social responsibility program. The service recipients who come to the branch can now benefit from online payment, and online awareness classes, etc.
